Don’t Stop Now

March 28th, 2011 by David Hawkins

I have helped a lot of people recover from various injuries over the years. It is always very rewarding to help a patient return to the activities that they love. It is equally disappointing when people lose all their momentum as soon as therapy ends.  Sometimes patients return with the same problems they were experiencing before. While it is always nice to see a past patient and have an opportunity to help again, my hope is that patients use their treatment time as a spring board for moving forward in their health.

As patients near the end of their treatment, I always ask them the question – “Now what? or What’s next?” I tell them to think back on where they started and recognize the changes that have occurred in their body from consistent exercise and stretching.  I then ask them to tell me what their plan is for continued success.

Some individuals have a very specific plan of returning to their previous routine. Others aren’t sure what they are going to do.  If you fall into the unsure category and would like some continued assistance on your journey, I would love to help. I look forward to your continued success!
